Historic SpaceX Launch Successful

SpaceX is the first private company to put astronauts into space after a successful launch today. The weather cleared up in the final hours to allow Dragon to being its trek to the International Space Station. Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are expected to dock with the International Space Station tomorrow. The launch marks an end of NASA having to pay Russia to send its astronauts into space. It has been nine years since a rocket took people into space from this country.

The launch seemed to go off without any problems. The rockets separated and began their journeys back to earth. SpaceX created the reusable rocket to lower costs. The astronauts are scheduled to reach their destination Sunday morning. They will spend at least a month on the station before completing their mission by demonstrating they can return safely.
