BSO Searching For Murder Suspect

Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are currently seeking Akeeme Cordell Brown on one count of second degree murder and two counts of second degree attempted murder. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2020, Broward County Regional Communications received a call in reference to a shooting in the 3600 block of Northwest 21st Street in Lauderdale Lakes. 

Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with multiple victims who were suffering from gunshot wounds. One female victim was pronounced deceased on scene, and two other victims were transported to Broward Health Medical Center. 

During the investigation, detectives identified Brown as the suspect and currently have an active warrant for his arrest. Brown is a black male, approximately 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds. 

Brown should be considered armed and/or dangerous.
