Thanksgiving Etiquette 101

The turkey is in the oven, the loose-fitting pants are ready to be worn that must mean it's almost time to sit down for that Thanksgiving feast. You should "pass the gravy, not the political barbs" that advice from licensed counselor Leigh Richardson who says there's no reason to bring up any controversial topics as you sit down to eat. But what if you have that one guest who refuses to let it go? Richardson says you can approach them as long as you do it politely. Tell them it's okay to agree to disagree then steer the conversation toward sports or entertainment. You can even ask guests to go around the table saying what they are Thankful for this year.
