Palm Beach County Pilots Save On Fees To Deliver Dorian Relief To Bahamas

The Palm Beach County Commission has approved a plan to make it easier for pilots to fly over relief supplies to the Bahamas.

The exemption means fuel and landing fees are waived for direct flights leaving Palm Beach International Airport. It's retroactive to September 4th and is expected to remain in effect until September of next year.

Exempt flights must be for only search and rescue, evacuation assistance or relief delivery.

Pilots will have to tell the county exactly where they are flying and why and submit a statement pledging that hurricane victims would not pay for the relief they would be receiving.
