Residents & Businesses Urged To Conserve Water In Ft. Lauderdale

"Be prepared to be without water for the next 24 hours or so" That warning to residents and business owners in Ft. Lauderdale after a water main break near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Water is still running , but everyone must limit use because in order to repair the line the water supply has been shut off. Port Everglades Spokeswoman Ellen Kennedy says luckily the port's biggest water-users-the cruise ships are all out until Saturday so they are not dealing with any issues. "Lester's Diner" on State Road 84 stopped offering tap water to customers. Manager Daniel McConnell says they're serving bottled water at a discount and they're boiling water before using it in any of their recipes just as a precaution.
