AIRPORT STATUS: Damage assessment teams are standing by waiting for sustained winds to decrease to a safe level to ascertain what kind of damage the airport has sustained so that the recovery process can begin. Once the recovery process has restored the facilities to a safe operational status, The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) will meet with the airlines to determine a timeline to phase-in operations. This process could take several days.Travelers are urged to contact their airlines and confirm their new seats before arriving at MCO.
